Apply on the official site only. Nobody can sell you a place, a job or a visa.

In Cameroon

Public programmes, with their official sites.

  • Public-service competitive exams (MINFOPRA)

MINFOPRA’s Concours Online platform lists direct and professional public-service exams and lets you apply online. Requirements (diploma, age, documents) are set in the official notice for each exam, and fees are paid at an approved financial institution, as the platform states. Nobody can sell you a place or guarantee admission, so avoid middlemen.

  • National Employment Fund (FNE)

FNE is Cameroon’s public employment service: it publishes vacancies, matches job seekers with employers, and runs job-insertion and micro-enterprise support programmes. You can register online or at a regional office. The site states that all its services are free, so never pay anyone for a job ‘through FNE’.

Remote work

Work from Cameroon for clients and companies abroad.

  • Online freelance work for international clients

The World Bank report ‘Working Without Borders’ looks at online gig work, for which demand is rising in developing countries: the opportunities, and also risks such as weak social protection, low pay and data security. It is a good read before you join a platform. Never pay to ‘unlock’ a job, and protect your personal data.

  • Online work through digital platforms

Digital platforms let you work remotely for clients and employers abroad, but the ILO also points to decent-work gaps in this sector. Its portal covers the Decent Work in the Platform Economy Convention (No. 193), adopted in June 2026, and resources on workers’ rights. A real employer won’t ask you to pay to get work, so beware of ‘tasks’ that require a deposit.
